Get Recced is what it says on the tin: a community for sharing stuff you think other people might also enjoy. Also a place to post playlists/fanmixes/fanfic you've made or enjoyed — introduce us to new canons with the force of your enthusiasm! We love that stuff. That's why we're here.

A few basic rules to keep the calm:
— Don't be a jerk. There's no need to belittle someone else's choices, or to start a nitpick session. Other platforms are more suitable. Curate your own experiences and disengage instead.
— Additionally, avoid offensive topics and language. Don't slur people. Don't be posting NSFW images; put it behind a cut and a warning. If someone asks you to warn for something you've never considered would need it, it is not your place to argue — make the warning and accept that your experiences differ from theirs. No harm, no foul.
— Follow the tagging/subject format for ease of access. If you're unsure, leave a note in your post and we'll help out.

Here's a basic format for a rec post:

And one for a rec request (req) post:


Tags should be applied as follows: Post type (rec post or req post); medium type (rec: manga or req: music); genre (manga: action or book: cyberpunk). Additional tags can include e.g. NSFW, Hard Kink, etc.

Subjects should be in the format of Music Rec: [name of artist/album].
